- HEINRICH VII - Emperor Henry VII (Valenciennes 1278/79 - Buonconvento 1313), King of Germany (or Rex Romanorum) from 1308 and Holy Roman Emperor from 1312. He was Baldwin's brother (Wikipedia).
- ASPELT - elector Peter von Aspelt (Aspelt c. 1245 - 1320), Archbishop of Mainz from 1306 to 1320, was involved in the appointment of Baldwin as elector of Trier (Wikipedia).
- DANTE - Dante Alighieri (Florence c. 1265 - Ravenna 1321),
major Italian poet of the Middle Ages, partisan of Henry VII in the struggle between Guelphs and Ghibellines (Wikipedia).
In the upper section lion head gargoyles alternate with coats of arms:
City of Trier, held by an angel
Luxembourg held by a warrior
Archbishopric of Trier, held by an angel
The Holy Roman Empire, held by a warrior
