Description

Stone column with a wooden spire and on the faces quotes from Rosegger's Waldheimat: Erzählungen aus der Jugendzeit and Gedichte and reliefs of saints.

We haven't found any information about this monument. Probably because is was rather hidden in between trees and shrubs until recently, as is visible on a Panoramio photo of September 2014.

Für das, was uns am
höchsten steht, für das, was
uns am nächsten geht,
ward uns kein Lied zu
eigen. Da hat man nur
ein fromm Gebet
und - Schweigen.

Was ich aus Trutz
vollbracht, wuchs voll
Pracht über Nacht
und war - verregnet.
Was ich aus Lieb' gesät,
keimte stät, reifte spät
und ist gesegnet.

Daheim, o mein Daheim!
Und wärst du auch mit
einem Dornenkranz um-
flochten. Leiden läßt sich's
überall auf Erden,
freudig sein im Herzen
nur daheim!

Der echte, rechte, feste
und treue Mensch muß
irgendwo wurzeln, nicht
anders wie ein Baum,
ein Kornhalm.
