Description

Stone bust, copy of the bronze bust in the museum.

Maria Fellinger (acquaintance of Brahms) created a bust, which she handed over to Doctor Dr. Adalbert Kupferschmied. After Kupferschmied's death, Toni Schruf (1863-1932) ceremoniously unveiled the bust in the castle garden of the hotel in 1910, in presence of Brahms biographer M. Kalbeck. After Schruf's death, the bust reached the attic of the town hall and was only put up in 1950 on today's Dietrichplatz. Later it was replaced by a stone copy.
