Description

Black stone plaque with a picture of a Canadian soldier walking through the ruins of Rochefort. On 3 January 1945, the paratroopers of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion of the 6th British Airborne Division entered the city, cleaned it from German resistance nests and carried out reconnaissance patrols around Rochefort.
