Entrance gate of the St. Gallus-Kapelle (St. Gall Chapel), flanked by two stone statues:

  1. Sankt Desiderius von Langres / Saint Desiderius of Langres (St. Didier) (c. 315 - c. 355), bishop of Langres (Wikipedia).
  2. Sankt Mauritius / Saint Maurice, leader of the legendary Roman Theban Legion in the 3rd century, and one of the favorite and most widely venerated saints of that group (Wikipedia).

Annotation

The statues were made for the Stiftskirche St. Gallus und Otmar. On the east façade of that church are now other statues of these saints.
