OEuvre d'art conçue en 1995 par le plasticien Jean-Pierre Zaugg pour
les 10 ans du musée de l'alimentation, l'Alimentarium. Scintillante dans
sa robe en inox, la Fourchette invite du haut de ses 8 mètres à savourer
les beautés du paysage lémanique.

the fork - a lake geneva landmark

Jean-Pierre Zaugg designed this work of art in 1995 to commemorate
the Alimentarium Food Museum's 10th anniversary. These 8 metres
of sparkling stainless steel reflect the serenity of Lake Geneva and the
surrounding landscape.

Ein Kunstwerk, 1995 erschaffen vom Plastikkünstler Jean-Pierre Zaugg
zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum des Museums der Ernährung, Alimentarium.
8 Meter hoch, glitzernd in ihrer Robe aus Inox lädt sie ein, die Schönheit
der Landschaft vom Genfersee zu geniessen.

Annotation

The original fork placed in 1995 for just one year. In 2007 it returned and in 2009 it was inaugurated as a permanent sculpture.
On the front of the nearby Alimentarium is a giant spoon to be seen.
