Description

Bronze sculpture of a man intended to symbolize a preacher, on the base is a bible text from the Gospel of Luke, 19, 42: "Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace!" This sentence is the lament of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem. However, the "Reminder" looks more like the desert preacher St. John the Baptist, and less to Jesus the Messiah.

Inscription(s)

Around the base is a text from the bible (Lucas 19, 42), repeated on a small plaque on one of the faces:

wenn doch auch du erkenntest
an diesem deinem tage
was dir zum frieden dient
