  2. con su esposa maria teresa: Simón Bolívar and his wife María Teresa Rodríguez del Toro y Alayza (Madrid 1781 - Caracas 1803) , they married in Madrid 26 May 1802, and she died 22 January 1803 shortly after their arrival in Caracas (Wikipedia).
  3. con su maestro simon rodriguez: Simón Bolívar and his teacher Simón Rodríguez (Caracas, Venezuela, 1769 - Amotape, Perú 1854), known during his exile from Spanish America as Samuel Robinson, Venezuelan philosopher and educator (Wikipedia).
The maternal ancestors of Simón Bolívar as well as those of his wife María Teresa (see the Bolívar's bust in Teror) and his teacher Simón Rodríguez came from the Canary Islands.
