Description

Four modern statues in the niches of the 14th century Bishop Gower's Screen. On the left side three statues:
  1. St. Benedict of Nursia
  2. Christ
  3. St. Paul
    and on the right:
  4. St. David - Dewi Sant, Welsh Bishop during the 6th century; patron saint of Wales (Wikipedia). He is depicted with a dove on his shoulder, this dove refers to his eloquence as he addressed the synod of bishops at Llandrewi Brefi.
