Annotation

The plaque was the initiative of Alderman Llewellyn J. Meyler, O.B.E., who had long cherished the hope that some day there might be in Haverfordwest some permanent memorial to John Wesley's fourteen visits to Pembrokeshire. The plaque is unveiled on 18 May 1956 by the Mayor of Haverfordwest, Major John Green, T.D., at the Grammar School.
Later the plaque is replaced on a monument near the new library.
