House, built 1895 by the architect A.F. Meysner - А.Ф. Мейснер. Since the 1920s the building was known as the 5th House of Soviets - 5-й Дом Советов (btw, from 1917-1990 the name of the street was ulitsa Granovskogo - улица Грановского). Many famous government and party leaders and army officers of the Soviet Union lived there. The house has 18 commemorative plaques, but only 7 of them with a portrait (only these 7 plaques are illustrated - linked, blue text - the other plaques are only mentioned here (but photos were made):

  8. Семён Михаилович Будённый - Semën Mikhaylovich Budënnyy (1883-1973), military leader and statesman

Nikita Khrushchëv - Н. С. Хрущёв - lived also in this house, but has no plaque.
