Description

Full-length standing figure of Christopher Columbus, dressed in long coat, with chain necklace. He holds a folded document in his proper right hand; his proper left hand points out to the side. Nautical elements (rope, anchor and chain) are at his feet. He stands atop a rectangular base decorated with incised sailing ship and flanked by two eagles on world globes, all part of a larger exedra setting.
