Ishtakhaba (Dakota: Ištáȟba), a.k.a. Chief Sleepy Eye

Native American chief of the Sisseton Sioux tribe from 1822/25
Granite column with identical relief portraits on both sides. The portraits are made from a painting of him made in 1824.
On both sides:

Chief Sleepy Eye is buried under this monument.
