St. Peter and Paul, Christ and the apostles

The apostles Peter and Paul are often depicted together. In Catholic tradition, Peter is said to have founded the church in Rome with Paul, served as its bishop, authored two epistles, and then met martyrdom there along with Paul.

Annotation

The Cathedral was designed by Emmanuel Masqueray (1861-1917). The building started in 1907 and it was completed in 1915.
