Description

Fountain consisting of a central, octagonal column with two half-spheres with a dove flying up on top. Spirally mounted to the column are basins through which the water flows downwards. A dove sits on each basin.

On the lower part of the column are eight circular coloured emblems (the ninthe is Hodiamont's signature).

Werk des ostbelgischen Künstlers Peter Hodiamont (1925-
2004): „Quell der Freude und Zeichen der Hoffnung auf Friedenʺ.
Gestiftet 1989 vom Lions Club Eupen anlässlich seines 25-jäh-
rigen Jubiläums als Dank an die Eupener Bevölkerung für ihre
beständige Unterstützung der Club-Projekte.

La fontaine, inaugurée en 1989, est l'oeuvre de l'artiste régional Peter Hodiamont
(1925-2004) et fut congue comme «source de joie et signe d'espörance de paix».
Elle était un don du Lions Club Eupen ä l'occasion de son 25e anniversaire, en reconnais-
sance ä la population eupenolse pour son soutien constant aux projets du Club.

De fontein die in 1989 werd ingewijd is het werk van de kunstenaar Peter Hodia-
mont (1925-2004) en staat voor "bron van vreugde en teken van hoop en vrede".
Ze is een schenking van de Lions Club Eupen naar aanleiding van zijn 25-jarig jubileum als
dank aan de bevolking van Eupen voor haar onaflaatbare steun aan de projecten van de
club.
