Statues - Hither & Thither

 

Description

Zes meter lange liggende stalen constructie van twee meter hoog. De kunstenaar beschrijft het als volgt: "Het is een Atlas, genoemd naar de mythologische god die de aardbol op zijn schouders torste"
Het is officieel ingehuldigd op 18 mei 2014 naar aanleiding van de Dag van het Park.
Overigens heeft de kunstenaar het mis, Atlas torste de hemelbol, niet de aardbol.

Six-metre-long reclining steel structure two metres high. The artist describes it as follows: "It is an Atlas, named after the mythological god who carried the Earth on his shoulders"
It was officially inaugurated on 18 May 2014 on the occasion of the Park Day.
Incidentally, the artist is wrong, Atlas carried the Heavens, not the Earth.
