Bronze commemorative plaque with a small head of Masaryk.

The liberator of the Nation
Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk
was here enthusiastically greeted by the people of South Bohemia
triumphantly returning home on 20 December 1918.

The Masaryk memorial plaque was destroyed by the invaders, and restored in 1946
in its original form by the České Budějovice Savings Bank.

Annotation

Sculpted by Dušek after a design by the architect Karel Chocholy.

P.S. 12 September 2012 was a rainy day... The photos are therefore not as good as usual.
