A model the statue had already been placed when Tyrš House opened in May 1925. To mark the 8th All-Sokol Rally, the Presidium of the Czechoslovak Sokol Association decided to commission a bronze statue that would remind all visitors of the significant role played by the founder of Sokol. This statue was unveiled 27 Juni 1926. During World War II , the statue was destroyed. After the war, it was recast and was ceremonially unveiled once more in October 1947.

An identical status is in Děčín. This is a replica of the Sokol statue dating from 1932 to mark the 100th anniversary of Tyrš' birth. During the Second World War, the statue was probably hidden away and returned to Děčín after the war.

A third copy is in the foyer of the Sokol hall in Královské Vinohrady, this is a second cast from1947.
