Once it had been established that Vincencie Františka Tirschová-Kirschbaumová (1794-1838), Miroslav Tyrš's mother, was buried in the cemetery at Dolní Slivno, the Sokol women took the initiative to erect a gravestone there. The scene depicted on the relief is described as follows:
The monument depicts Tyrš's mother and commemorates his childhood; the Sokol emblem on her open palm symbolises Tyrš's destiny. The detailed relief of the mountains contains a reference to Tyrš's birthplace. A bright ray of sunlight breaks through the clouds, illuminating the path of mother and son towards life, illuminating the land which, after a long time, is awakening from oppression and bringing forth flowers and a lime branch, the symbol of our liberation.For fear of theft, the relief was removed from the funerary monument in 2007 and installed on the faèade of the Sokol House in Prague.
