Description

Statue of a raftsman carrying a coiled rope, an axe and an oar.
The apartment blocks on the north side of Ladova Street were built by the builder František Hodek in 1925. The sculptural decoration depicts life in Podskalí. The corner buildings at the junctions with Pod Slovany and Podskalská streets feature sculptures of rafters by Jaroslav Brůha. The model for the statue of a coiled rope on the building at 2042/7 was Josef Tesárek, the standard-bearer of the Vltavan association.
