Description

Two half-figures looking out of ‘windows’ on either side of the entrance. The man is the master of the house, wearing a little cap; the woman is his wife, holding a darning mushroom in her hand. Pelc interprets this as a humorous depiction of the contented citizen, who has himself become the subject of the façade decoration and symbolically guarantees the comforts of home life.
