Dvě plovoucí postavy se vznášejí ve vzdušném prostoru pod "sukní" Tančícího domu - mezi nebem a řekou, v místě, kde se architektura potkává s větrem. Proudění vzduchu je jemně rozhýbává, takže se jejich těla neustále proměňují, jako by skutečně plula prostorem. "The Swimmers" jsou metaforou volnosti i osamění-jsou spolu, a přece každý sám, spojeni neviditelným proudem, který je nese. V jejich lehkosti, křehké rovnováze a pomíjivém pohybu se odráží lidská touha po svobodě i klidu, po splynutí s prostředím, které nás obklopuje. Instalace reaguje na jedinečné místo nad Vltavou, kde se tanec architektury, světla a větru stává součástí sochařského příběhu. Veronika Psotková v díle rozvíjí svůj dlouhodobý zájem o figuru v prostoru - o tělo, které se stává obrazem lidské přítomnosti i pomíjivosti. *Veronika Psotková (1981, Opava) Tvorba Veroniky Psotková vychází z principů realistického figurálního sochařství, které autorka posouvá do současné podoby prostřednictvím drátěných instalací. Od roku 2007 ručně "šije" své sochy z černé nebo pozinkované rabicové sítě, čímž dosahuje pocitu odlehčení a průhlednosti. Její figury se stávají jakousi prostorovou kresbou - propojují tělo, vzduch a světlo. Práce s architekturou a prostředím je pro ni zásadní; často vytváří monumentální site-specific instalace, které reagují na daný prostor. Světlo hraje klíčovou roli - zdůrazňuje strukturu, objem i křehkost materiálu. Psotková vystavuje v České republice i v zahraničí. |
Two floating figures drift in the airy currents beneath the "skirt" of the Dancing House - suspended between the sky and the river, in a space where architecture meets the wind. The movement of air gently sets them in motion, so their bodies seem to change constantly, as if truly swimming through space. The Swimmers is a metaphor for both freedom and solitude - they are together, yet each alone, connected by an invisible current that carries them. In their lightness, fragile balance, and fleeting motion, one can sense the human desire for freedom and calm, for unity with the environment that surrounds us. The installation responds to a unique site above the Vltava River, where the dance of architecture, light, and wind becomes part of a sculptural narrative. With this work, Veronika Psotková continues her long-term exploration of the human figure in space - of the body as an image of human presence and transience. *Veronika Psotková (1981, Opava) Veronika Psotková’s work stems from the principles of realistic figurative sculpture, which she reinterprets through contemporary wire installations. Since 2007, she has been hand-"sewing" her sculptures from black or galvanized mesh, achieving a sense of lightness and transparency. Her figures become a kind of spatial drawing - connecting body, air, and light. Working with architecture and environment is central to her practice; she often creates monumental site-specific installations that respond to their surroundings. Light plays a key role, emphasizing the structure, volume, and delicacy of the material-. Psotková exhibits both in the Czech Republic and abroad. |
