Description

Baroque church in the U rozhledny Gardens on Prague’s Petřín Hill. Since 1995, it has been used by the Old Catholic Church as its cathedral.
There are four statues of saints on the church. In a large niche in the façade stands a statue of St. Adalbert and there are three statues at the top of the gable.

Sculpted František Dvořáček when the church was reconsecrated in 1842. It was donated in 1842 by František Šusta (Franz Schust). The text on the stone beneath him is very difficult to read. The donation by Šust is mentioned.

Svatý Jan Nepomucký / Saint John of Nepomuk
(Nepomuk c. 1345 - Praha 1393), confessor of the queen of Bohemia, refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. At the behest of King Wenceslaus of Bohemia he was thrown from the Charles Bridge in Prague and drowned.
