Description

Sculpture of a kneeling man inscribing the name 'ADAM' on a scroll as a symbol of humanity, for whom he bears responsibility and for whom he seeks the Promised Land.
The sculpture was installed here in 1937; during the occupation it was melted down, and in 1946 it was recast thanks to the fact that Mrs Bílková owned the original plaster model. It was returned to its original location in 1947.
