Description

Sculpture group of two nude, antique-looking figures, a young man (Day) and a young woman (Night), who are positioned opposite one another as allegories of Day and Night. Beside the young man is an eagle, leaning against his leg; beside the woman is a panther (or pardal), lying against her right leg.

The copy on the Týn is a replica especially made for this square.

In front of a nearby shop are two sculptural chairs decorated with a sun and a crescent moon, apparently echoing the Day and Night theme of Štursa's sculpture.
