Description

Marble block with all sides sandstone slabs featuring a relief and a text. At the top of the monument is a shallow iron bowl for an eternal flame.

Front: woman with a child; text NIKDY FAŠISMUS (Never Fascism).
Right: prisoner; text LIDÉ BDĚTE (People, be vigilant).
Left: soldier with a submachine gun; text U MADRIDU ZA PRAHU (Near Madrid, beyond Prague).
Text decorated with a sprig of lime tree:

ČEST A SLÁVA
hrdinným bojovníkúm
proti fašismu.
padlým v bojích
a umučeným
v koncentračních
táborech v letech
1936 - 1945
vámi vybojovanou
svobodu uhájíme!

Honour and glory
to the heroic fighters
against fascism.
To those who fell in battle
and were tortured
in concentration
camps between
1936 and 1945
We shall defend
the freedom you fought for!

In front of the front face of the monument lies a marble block bearing the inscription:

zde je uložena prsť
památných míst boje proti fašismu This is where the soil is stored
from memorable sites of the struggle against fascism
