The façade of the secondary school, which dates from 1899, features five medallions bearing portraits. The selection of figures clearly reflects a local/cultural canon: Rejt and Brandl are associated with the art of Kutná Hora, Vocel and Tyl were born there, and Komenský represents the national ideal of education and culture.
