Beschreibung / Description

Bronze statue of emperor Ludwig der Bayer with crown, sword and shield and with a scroll in his hand. The statue is placed on a column, which stsands in a round bowl, bear by eight pillars with grotesque masks as gargoyles, which in turn stand in an octagonal fountain basin.

The capital of the column shows a bold relief of three Tritons and a mermaid.

The column is adorned with two gargoyles in the form of a deer and boar's head and four medaillons with a dedication, coats of arms and a relief portrait:
