Description

Image of two wrestling men. The names of the sculptor Weber's critics are inscribed on the suit of Antaeus, the raised figure, among others: eduard trier ... w. hofman ... häftm... meier graefe... and on that of Hercules his own name jürgen weber.
The motif can thus also be understood in a figurative sense as a struggle between the artist and his critics, in which the artist removes the ground from his critics.
