Description

Stone relief of St. Elisabeth in the center of a square spiralling path. It is inscribed "st. elisabeth. alle wege des herrn sind erbarmen" (All ways of the Lord are mercy). The crown at the feet of the saint is a symbol of renunciation of the aristocratic title and the privileges associated with it . The crown placed at the top left, at the end of a long path indicated in linear arches, represents the "Crown of Life" that Elizabeth received with her canonization by Pope Gregory IX at Pentecost 1235.

Because of construction works it was not possible to make good photographs of the relief.
