Description

Sculpture of a mother with her small son. The mother hides the sword of her fallen husband and waits for her son to grow up. The monument propagates the military revision of the Treaty of Versailles.
Below her, hardly readable, is a quote from Goethe: "Wir heißen euch hoffen", the last sentence of Goethe's poem Symbolum. This should be understood as a reminder to preserve peace.
