Inscription(s)

Fritz Keller

*27. Dezember 1891 in Köln-Ehrenfeld
+ 15. Mai 1943 in Aachen

Kaplan in St. Anna                         1927-1937

Fritz Keller

*27 December 1891 in Cologne-Ehrenfeld
+ 15 May 1943 in Aachen

Chaplain at St. Anna's                         1927-1937
President of the Kolping family in Düren 1930-1937

The house where Fritz Keller lived during his time in Düren stood on this spot.
He was a pious, deeply religious priest who was completely absorbed in his profession. His loyalty
to his faith repeatedly brought him into conflict with the Nazi regime. After a
stay at the concentration camp in Dachau from December 1941 to October 1942, Frits Keller died after
a long martyrdom on 15 May 1943 in a protective custody ordered by the Gestapo in the
Aachen prison.
