»AULE METTMANNER«
zur erinnerung an die
hier jahrhundertenlang betriebene
pferdezucht für die landwirtschaft
und den hier über lange zeit ansässigen
beruf der vorspänner

This fountain, designed by the
sculptor R.Ch. Baisch
was donated in 1962 to
the city of Mettmann by the
Civic and Homeland Association
"AULE METTMANNER"
to commemorate those who
operated here for centuries
horse breeding for agriculture
and the long-establishes local job
of the head haulier

The name of the sculptor has a spelling error in this sign.
