The atrium, also called paradise, connects the minster church with the church of St. John. On the north and south side it has bronze doors.
The doors of the northern portal show at the outer side St. John the Baptist, patron of the church, with an angel blowing a trumpet, and St. Quentin, partron of the chapel north of the atrium, with an angel with scales.
At the inner side of the doors are four reliefs of miracles and at the lower part a frieze with probably scenes from the Old Testament.

On the keystone of the portal is on the outside a small statue, probably of St. Quentin.
