dieser stelle der kaplan joseph weitz
bei dem versuch, während eines bom-
benangriffs den brennenden dachstuhl
der münsterkirche zu löschen, tödlich ab.
er wurde ein opfer seiner priesterlichen
liebe zur gemeinde und ihrem gotteshaus.
ehre seinem andenken.

On the evening of 5 March 1943, at this
point the chaplain Joseph Weitz fell fatally
while trying to extinguish the burning
roof truss of the Minster church during
a bomb attack. He became a victim of his
priestly love for the community and its
church.
Honor his memory.
