Description

Statue of St. John the Baptist with a shell in is outstretched hand and a sheep at his feet. Placed in a corner niche, with coat of arms of the Carové family.

Annotation

The Haus Venedig (House Venice) was built 1656-1658 by Ambrose Carové, son of an immigrant merchant from Lenno on Lake Como over a Romanesque cellar.
