Basalt sculpture of depicting the messengers (spies) returning from Canaan carrying a large bunch of grapes (Numeri 23,13). It stands in the center of a circular fountain basin with on the edge the toast to Siegfried from the poem 'Rheinsage' by Emanuel Geibel (1834-35):
WIR ABER FÜLLEN DIE RÖMER
UND TRINKEN IM GOLDENEN SAFT
UNS DEUTSCHES HELDENFEUER
UND DEUTSCHE HELDENKRAFT

Annotation
After the second world war the fountain was demolished and stored. In 2013 it is re-installed.
