Description

Sculpture of a marathon runner. It is gift by the teacher's seminar on the occasion of their 100th anniversary. The sculpture was made by Kruse almost 50 years earlier and had won a golden medal in Berlin in 1881. In 1911 the teacher's seminar had made a new cast in zink of that sculpture for their new building. When they moved in 1926 they donated the statue to the town of Eisleben.
