The Wasserkunst ('water art') Gotha is a system for water supply to wells and fountains as well as the local water system and at the same time a tourist attraction in the historic city of Gotha. It was completed in 1895.
With a length of about 72 m on three levels the water flows from the fountain on the Friedrich-Jacobs-Straße in NNW direction. The water flows with a waterfall into the next level with several identical ponds at different heights. The water is then passed under a short cul-de-sac to the lower part.
In the fountain at the top are four water animals spouting water: a frog, a lizard, a lobster and a turtle.
