Este mural es donado a nuestra ciudad por gentileza del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Santoña-Cantabria de donde eral natural Juan de la Cosa 1er cartografo de America y propietaria de la nao Santa Maria. Inaugurado en la conmemoracion del 505 aniversario del regreso a nuestro puerto de Palos de las carabelas Pinta y Niña siendo alcalde presidente del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Santoña Ilmo. Sr. D. Maximino Valle Badiola y alcalde presidente del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Palos de la Frontera Ilmo. Sr. D. Carmelo Romero Hernandez.

Translation: This mural is donated to our city on the gracefulness of the Excmo. City Council of Santoña-Cantabria from where was John de la Cosa 1er. cartographer of America and owner of the nao Santa María. Inaugurated on the commemoration of the 505 anniversary of the return to our port of Palos of the caravels Pinta and Niña being mayor president of the Excmo. City Council of Santoña Ilmo. Mr. D.
