Description

Sculpture of a pair of shoes on a large base.
The town was known for the production and export of footwear, having more than 20 shoemakers and two espadrille factories. The poet Pedro García Cabrera, in his work Vuelta a la Isla, used this profession as the central axis of the poem dedicated to the town.
