Description

Large aluminium opened Sardine tin can. The sculpture was made for the 2006 exhibition for the surrealist painter Óscar Dominguez in honor of the centenary of the painter's birth, sponsored by the the town of Tacoronte. The Sardine Can, a work by sculptor Julio Nieto, was placed at the entrance of the exhibition.
A photo on the sculptor's website shows that it stood in the Plaza Isla de Madera in Santa Cruz.
