Description

At the top of the south portal are two statues: St. Paul Aurelian with a dragon and below him St. Michael with the dragon; and on the rooftop St. Mary and St. John the Apostle.

The inner side of the portal is adorned with twelve statues of the apostles:

St. Peter with his key, St. Thomas (with a square), St. Jude (with staff), St. John (without a beard), Saint James the Minor (with a stick curved at the base, broken), and Saint James the Greater (hat and shell).

Saint Simon the Zealot (with a saw), St. Matthias (with knife?), Saint Matthew (with scales), Saint Bartholomew (with knife), Saint Philip (with a spear), and Saint Andrew (with X-cross),

Above the northern entrance is a statue of Saint John the Evangelist writing in a book, with the eagle at his feet.
