Description

Bronze statue of an Australian soldier by Hammond. This statue replaces since 1971 the original 1925 statue of an Australian soldier thrusting his bayonet through a German eagle. This statue, made by Gilbert, was destroyed by members of the German military in 1940.

On the base are two bronze reliefs, which are the originals from 1925
