Description

Fountain erected in 1857, during the Second Empire. It is painted in deep green and decorated with four winged putti emptying jars and lions' heads. On the top is a stone sculpture of a putto standing on a dolphain, and probably originally with a fish in his hands.

It is the work of Lyon's artists-founders Lanfrey and Constant Baud and last one in a series of five built at the same time and which, thanks to their moves, have decorated a dozen squares in Lyon until 1946.
