Three statues above the porch of the church. The central statue of Christ Good Shepherd dates from 1909, the statue is said to have been adapted from a statue in Florence. The statue of St. Mark (left) was added in 1917 in memory of Norman Child who had fallen in the Great War. St. Mark is one the four Evangelists, he is depicted with his attribute, a lion (Wikipedia). The final statue was to have been of St. John the Baptist, patron of St. Mark's' mother church, but some years later, in 1926, St. Alban was chosen instead, and his statue was erected in memory of Cyril Catford who also fell in the Great War. St. Alban is the first-recorded British Christian martyr (Wikipedia).
