Description

Cloaked female figure, Mother Liverpool, holding three babies (originally goldpainted plastic baby dolls) in her arms. Around the figure are the letters j, p, g, and r. Originally Dooley placed a fourth to the right representing Paul McCartney. Following John Lennon's murder on 8 December 1980 the composition was re-arranged. The McCartney doll was removed, and another doll, representing Lennon, holding a guitar, its head surrounded with a halo inscribed Lennon Lives, was placed to the right of the niche.
