Description

Bronze statue of Oedipus just after he has blinded himself with brooches from his mother's gown. The sculptress was inspired by a performance of Sophocles' tragedy Oedipus Rex in Athens.

Trude Bunzl (1904-1982), Austrian-British sculptress.
