Man Pushing a Ball (2x)

Description

Two identical sculptures of a bronze figure pushing enormous stainless-steel balls - the second ball much larger than the first, standing c. 40 meters apart. The figure was cast from seventeen-year-old Max Langlands. The sculpture is inspired by the Greek myth of Sisyphus, the king condemned to push a boulder up a mountain for eternity. Together, the two sculptures depict his journey, while the sphere itself also offers a wicked optical illusion, distorting your reflection and the surrounding cityscape.
