Description

Two stone statues of the female saints flanking the entrance to the church grounds:
  1. Szent Kinga / Saint Kinga of Poland / Święta Kinga (Esztergom 1224 - 1292), daughter of King Béla IV of Hungary; great-niece of Saint Hedwig; patroness of Poland and Lithuania (Website).
  2. Szent Hedvig / Święta Jadwiga Śląska / Saint Hedwig of Silesia (Andechs, Bavaria, 1174 - Trzebnica Abbey, Silesia, 1243) from the comital House of Andechs was Duchess of Silesia from 1201 and of Greater Poland from 1231 as well as High Duchess consort of Poland from 1232 until 1238 (Website).
